To repair a slipping steel crown gear on the at03 spool or at24 gear diff--
- You should pull the crown steel gear off the aluminium wheel of AT03 or AT24
- Then please clean all contact surfaces on the wheel and gear with good cleaner-degreaser.
- Next apply the retaining compound Loctite 603 or 648 and press the gear on the wheel full way until stop.
- Spin the part in a b10rs and dt02 to ensure the gear is correctly seated
- For better results with Loctite please remove the layer of anodizing from the aluminium base and use Loctite primer liguid to activate the metals. The recommended primer liquids:
- Loctite 7471 for Loctite 603 compounds
- Loctite 7649 for Loctite 648 compound
The further heating ( to 60-80 deg) will make the hardening of the compound faster.
